Heart Walk - Charleston, SC

This weekend was the Heart Walk in Charleston, Team Landyn ended up raising close to $3000 thanks to all of our friends and family members that generously donated to such a great cause! Mike, Lawson and I headed down to Summerville Friday afternoon, we stayed the night at my Aunts house and got up around 6:45 AM to drive into Charleston for the walk. We ate lunch with the team at a deli downtown and headed back to Sunmerville for Lawson to take a nap. After that we went to my cousins house to watch some football and eat dinner. Sunday morning we got up early and got on the road because I had to work Sunday afternoon! Whew, it was a busy weekend but we had so much fun and were so glad to be a part of something so special. Here are a few pictures.

This picture makes me laugh. Both boys looking over at the same thing and both with their hands in their mouth!

Fall is here!

Lawson has been having lots of fun going to school and has only been sick once since he started. Some "big" news to share is that I recently started a part time job working at Michaels. Lawson's Nana has worked there for 12 years (on top of her full time job) so I thought it might be something I would be interested in doing too. I only work a couple of nights a week and so far it is going pretty good.  I am hoping that I can try to refrain from spending everything I make in the store.
We've been enjoying the nice weather and taking lots of trips to the park. Lawson loves going down the slide over and over and over again.
This weekend we are heading down to Charleston for the Heart Walk!

Mike's Birthday weekend

This weekend we celebrated Mikes Birthday. Friday night we went to dinner at Tonys pizza and then I surprised Mike with a carriage ride downtown. I think he really enjoyed it, especially the history part. Our carriage driver was very knowledgable about Greenville and how Greenville came to be! I you ever want to take a carriage ride I would recommend it for sure! Whispering Winds Carriage
Saturday we headed to Tiger Town to see the Tigers WIN their first home game of the season against Ball State. Lawson stayed at Grandmas and Pa-Paws(as Lawson calls him), he seemed to have a really good time because he did not want to leave when we came to pick him up.
Sunday was followed up with a trip to the park, some errands and dinner with Grand-Mary. Lawson wasnt feeling good Sunday evening and was had a fever so he went to bed pretty early, we hope its nothing serious amd that he is back to his normal happy self in the morning! Here are some pictures of the weekend.
Happy 31st Birthday Mike/Daddy! We love you very much!

I made this yummy cookie cake/pie that I found on Pinterest, Adventures in my Kitchen, Mike's favorite cake is cookie cake so he loved it

We met this friendly man while we were waiting on our carriage ride, his name is Ken and he actually knew Mike's Dad, he played us a couple of songs while we were waiting, he was very talented.

Game Day! Go Tigers!

Labor Day Festivities

We watched a lot of football this weekend and celebrated the Clemson Tigers first win of the season. The Tigers beat Auburn 26-19! We are so excited they pulled off a "W" and are looking forward to the first home game next Saturday.

We had dinner at my parents house on Sunday night to do some early celebrating for Mike's birthday. It was great spending time with some of the family that we don't get to see very often.
The food was great too, thanks to my parents for the nice evening, we had a great time!

We are looking forward to the short work week  and Lawson's first full week of school.

Being silly

We are watching Mike's Dad's dog Dixie for the next couple of weeks while they are in Hawaii and Vegas! Lucky them!

I found this free tailgate printable here, Formal Fringe
I thought it was cute and already had all of the other paper so I printed it out and put it on our table for the game. For once I think I was more excited than Mike about the start of football season!

Great food!
