Things have been very busy in the Head household, we had an absolutely wonderful Christmas. We are so blessed. Here's a little re-cap.
Saturday before Christmas we exchanged gifts with my sister and her husband to be, they spent the week of Christmas in Cabo(jealous!) so we had to do an early exchange. Lawson loved his Lego Duplos and Mike and I love our gifts too! It was great spending some time with them before the left.
We spent Sunday evening with my Dad's family, we had a great meal and got to visit with family.
Monday, Mike's mother, grandmother, and sister came over for brunch at our house and we exchanged gifts. Lawson had fun playing with GrandMary and Aunt Meredith.
We went to the Christmas Eve service at church and then to Mike's Dad's house to have Christmas with Pop and Nana. Nana made a bunch of great food and we all had fun exchanging gifts with Aunt Elizabeth, Uncle Ben, cousin Mary Mathews, and Aunt Meredith.
Christmas Day we had to wake Lawson up to see what Santa brought for him. He was very excited to see all of his new toys but didn't quite grasp the concept of Santa. Some of his favorite toys are his new Hess Truck, his Easel, and his Radio Flyer Tricycle, he hasn't figured out the peddles yet but he is working on it. My parents came over to exchange gifts and eat breakfast and then they went home.
We spent all day Christmas day at home this year and Lawson never even got out of his pajamas, we had a nice meal with just the three of us Christmas evening. I think this was the first time in the 10 years that we have been together that we have not had to go all over the place on Christmas day.
We spent New Years in Atlanta cheering on our Clemson Tigers at the Chick-fil-A bowl who won in a last second, 25-24 victory against LSU. I will admit, going down to the game I had absolutely no confidence that we were going to win, I was going simply for the fact that it is not every day that we get to play LSU. On the other hand, Mike believed all along that we had a chance of winning. Thankfully, the CU Tigers proved me wrong.
We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and are looking forward to everything 2013 has in store!
